When looking to mount your camera and accessories, users will need some kind of baseplate to get started in creating their rigs and camera setups. For this, Jag35 offers various choices to get started making your very own camera setup.

Baseplate Choices:
- Jag35 Standard BasePlate: The original and perfect starting point when building your setup, featuring a DSLR Plate, Tripod Plate Standard and your choice of rods.
- Gorilla Baseplate: For use with your Zacuto Gorilla stand. (Actual Gorilla plate not included)
Rod Size:
We offer a variety of rod sizes to fit the needs of our customers. The 6" rods are ideal to handle most simple lens and camera configurations. With this setup you'll have enough space to mount a Follow Focus along with a Matte-box using most Canon lenses. If you plan on using longer lenses, for example the 70-200mm, then you'll definitely need the larger 8" rods. If your looking to mount more things or eventually build up to a full shoulder rig, you can opt to get the 12" rods.
Versatility:
The Jag35 DSLR stands are designed to work with the industry standard 15mm rod system, this ensures you that whichever baseplate you choose, it will be fully compatible with any rods or accessories that also conform to these standards. Making it easy to mount and customize your camera setup. The many choices means you can choose the right configuration to create a rig or camera setup to fit your individual needs.
Better than ever:
The Baseplates are better than ever. Here at Jag35 we are always looking to offer the best possible product, so we’ve upgraded all our baseplates to be the sturdiest, best looking products available. The entire baseplate has been upgraded to be made from our upgraded v2 components. These components are all machined differently than previous ones, changing from water-jet to milling, which results in a smoother surface and a better fit onto any 15mm rod systems. We machine all our products from lightweight and sturdy aluminum, making a rigid, durable product, while lessening fatigue on users. We also improved our anodizing techniques ensuring a shinier, smoother finish and a more even color, that will last longer than ever. All of these upgrades ensure that the railblocks on our baseplates will get a tighter grip on rods, creating a more durable rig, with less flex.
Upgradeability:
The Jag35 DSLR Baseplate is a great piece of hardware for starting off your Camera setup. All three baseplates feature both 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes making them all fully tripod mountable. Also, you can easily mount your follow focus system or matte box on the 15mm rods provided, making whichever Baseplate you choose a helpful tool right out of the box. However that's not the end of its capabilities, it's only the beginning. Adding ball heads, articulating arms, or single railblocks, (not included) makes it easy to mount any audio devices, lights or any other accessories.
